- What is the Business Immigration Program?
The Business Immigration Program is designed by the Canadian Government to enable business people to immigrate and settle in Canada while contributing to the growth of the Canadian economy by means of investments or new business start-ups in Canada.
- What are the different immigration programs under Business Immigration?
To be eligible to apply for permanent residence under the Business Immigration program, you must belong to one of the following classes of business immigrants:
- Start-up Visa
Designed for business immigrants who intend to start and operate a new qualifying business in Canada by showing investment, and capital and its acceptance into a designated business incubator program.
- Self Employed Persons
Designed for people who have sufficient experience to be able to significantly contribute to the Canadian culture and economy or for people who have experience in farm management and have enough money to buy and manage a farm in Canada.
- PNP Business Immigration
Designed for people who are nominated by a Canadian province or territory to immigrate to Canada and start or invest in a Canadian business venture based in that province or territory.
- What do I need in order to apply?
Each province has different requirements to qualify to apply for permanent residence under the Business Immigration program. In general, amongst other documents the proof of the following is required:
- Experience in business/management
- Ability to establish a new business or support an existing business in Canada and make significant contribution to its economy
- Create a full-time job for at least one Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
